Busy, Busy, Busy

Been super busy around here. Parker started Kindergarten, I started working a new schedule (Sun, Wed, Fri) and Tony started student teaching. So I'm also too busy to blog but thought I'd post some pictures of all our fun!

Dylan LOVES his walker....nearly 1800 sq ft of hardwoods to run around on and a big brother to chase

First Day of Kindergarten

So today was it...the FIRST day of Kindergarten. Parker was beyond excited. I woke him up at 550AM so he'd have a few minutes to wake up before he actually needed to get up. I went downstairs to make Dylan a bottle and when I started for the stairs down came Parker....RUNNING and fully dressed. "I'm ready!" he said. Geez...you think he was a bit excited?! We walked to the corner and met up with all the other kids in our neighborhood....there are ALOT of them...and we waited. the the bus pulled up and he got on and never even turned back to wave at me....my little boy is all grown up...Hope he's having an awesome day and showing the world just how amazing he is.

The 4th of July....then and now

On October 31, 2005 we found out we were having a baby. And on July 4, 2006 after working nearly all of a 12 hour shift on the 3rd and 27 hours of labor I got my sweet little Parker. Wow! Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined what that tiny little life inside me would become.

July 7, 2006

The smartest, sweetest, funniest, best big brother and coolest kid I know. He tells jokes, he gives sweet hugs and kisses and he is passionate and curious.
First he was into cars. He knew every car on the road. As we drove around town he would yell...."there's a PT Cruiser" and "there's a pick-up truck."

July 4, 2007

July 4, 2008

Then came our passion for all things firetruck and firetruck related. He knew their names....(bet you didn't know they were different...)he knew the tools, he knew the difference between an ambulance siren and a firetruck siren and even a police car siren. He pretend to play firefighter and dressed in a costume daily.

.
July 4, 2009

Then he turned 4 and told me he wasn't "into firetrucks anymore" but still would get excited to see one driving down the road or at the grocery store. He started watching "big boy" cartoons and movies...Star Wars, Transformers, Superman and Batman. He began to play with Legos and can easily build things with around 300 pieces. He went to Pre-K and learned to read and in just 4 weeks he will climb aboard that giant yellow school bus and go to Kindergarten.

July 2010

On those sleeplessness nights I wished time would hurry up...please sleep thru the night I used to beg him. And now all I want is to put on the breaks....slow down time....enjoy every minute.
Happy 5th Birthday to the most amazing little boy I know!
I love you more than words can say...

WOW...the last 6months have flown by.
I can hardly believe that my BABY is 6 months old.
How and when did this happen???? He is so sweet and chubby and delicious!
I am one lucky Mommy. We had our check up this morning and was not surprised that we have broken the 20 lb mark...YUP...Dylan Daniel weighed in at 20 lbs 2.5 oz (89th %ile) and 28 inches long (92nd%ile) and PERFECT in every way.

Time feels like it is going in Fast Forward.......

And all I want to do is
Rewind.......

Seriously wish I could slow things down....why can't they stay tiny forever?

May The Force Be With You

Warning....really long, picture and video filled post below.......

Parker is the luckiest boy in the whole world.
Hands down.
There is no one luckier.
Really.
Because for his 5th birthday he got a trip to Disney world.
(an early gift ....his birthday is not for 2 more months)
Without his baby brother.
For Star Wars Weekend!

We started off our trip on Friday AM. Early. Like we were in the car at 4AM and on the road. We drove straight to Orlando stopping only once for gas and a potty break and ate lunch right outside Disney. We checked into the hotel at 1230 and at 115p we were inside Disney's Hollywood Studios (DHS) for all the Star Wars fun one little boy could stand. And he was awesome. He stood in long lines, took a million pictures and was a trooper. We got back to the hotel Friday night at 730p and we all passed out. Whew! Long day!

Saturday AM we got up at 6AM. That's right 6AM on VACATION! But it was all worth it because we arrived at DHS at 715 and RAN to get Parker signed up for one of a very FEW spots in the Jedi Training Academy. He got to be up on stage, wear a Jedi robe and learn how to use a light saber. And if that wasn't cool enough he learned that all Jedi must show their loyalty to the Jedi ways and fight the Dark Side. Parker fought DARTH VADER! I mean really does it get any cooler than that?!

On our way to breakfast at 615 am.....

Waiting for our Jedi Training Session

Practicing with his light saber

We rode Star Tours TWICE, rode Buzz Lightyear's ride, watched the Indiana Jones stunt show, ate lunch at Pizza planet (from Toy Story) and ate ice cream...of course.

Saturday afternoon we took a short 2 hour break for a quick nap and to get out the heat. Seriously I have never felt so gross in my whole life.
Back to DHS at 630 for their night show Hyperspace Hoopla. Basically it is all the Star Wars characters in a dance off. Hilarious and awesome. We had a great time! Then since we're already there why not stay for DHS night time show Fantasmik. We got back to the hotel at 1030p.

Hyperspace Hoopla
Seriuosly these pictures do not do it any justice

Sunday up at 7am and in the park by 9am. We spent the day at the Magic Kingdom. Because well its just not a trip to Disney World unless you see Cinderella and her castle.
And we did.

We rode Peter Pan's Flight, It's a Small World, Buzz Lightyear, the rockets in Tomorrowland, the Jungle Cruise and The Haunted Mansion.

Took a small afternoon break and back to it for the parade and fireworks. Got back to the hotel at 1130p.

EXHAUSTED and HOT doesn't even start to describe it. Fun, Amazing, Unforgettable and Awesome however do. We had the BEST time ever! A HUGE thank you to my Mom and Dad and my Grandma (Bubbe) for sending us on this trip. And a HUGE thank you to Nannie for looking after Dylan and the dogs. We had so much fun! Can't wait to take Dylan....sounds like a good 5th birthday present....
