Happy FIRST Birthday Dylan Daniel

What a difference a year makes....

I can hardly believe that my sweet second little boy is turning ONE in just 4 more days...I mean how is that even possible. Just yesterday it seems I was bringing him home and getting up in the middle of the night to feed him. I want those days back....I need time to go slower. I want to cuddle him and all he wants to do is jump and crawl. I knew it would be over in a flash, but wow it was over in a blink of my eye. He is the best little boy there is. Hands down there is no one funnier, sweeter or cuter than this boy (except his brother of course) and I am the luckiest because he is MINE!!!

I love him more than I thought was possible.

He is funny, loud, sweet, chubby, fearless and ALL boy

He is adventurous and wild

He loves music and dancing

I LOVE HIM TO PIECES

The Last Firsts....

Ahhhhhh! How did this even happen? Dylan is having all his last firsts...its too soon and I want it to slow down. A few weeks ago he had his FIRST HAIRCUT. Then this past Thursday his FIRST THANKSGIVING. And now in just a few weeks his FIRST BIRTHDAY and his FIRST CHANUKKAH (and I'm sure some steps.....) Trying to enjoy each and every milestone.....but its so hard. He is so big and wants to do everything for himself...and I just want to cuddle and rock him. They don't stay little for long enough. Its not fair and I don't like it :( But here he is having some firsts...

Pumpkin Patch 2011

So Friday afternoon after school we headed to Berry Patch Farms in Woodstock to get pumpkins....and of course pictures. This will be Dylan's first Halloween and his first trip to the pumpkin patch. I took about 86 pictures....seriously...in an hour and got about 6 good ones and one perfect one of Dylan. I guess all you need is one :)

9 month check-up

Wow...how is it even possible that on Thursday my sweet little Dillypants is going to be 9 MONTHS OLD!!!!! Please make time sloooooow down. I made the appointment for his ONE YEAR check-up today and almost cried.

So needless to say Dylan is growing like a weed. He weighed in at 22 lbs 7.5 oz which is the 80th percentile....although I'm shocked by this fact.....And he is 30 1/2 inches tall which is the 97th percentile. Parker at 9 months was 21 lbs 4.7 oz and 30 1/2 inches...

OMG Can you tell who's who???? I guess i didn't realize how much they truly look alike....WOW

Football Season

It's the most wonderful time of the year....Football Season.

And it seems just in time for the "real" games to begin, the weather is beginning to cool off making it feel like fall. Soccer starts this week too and Tony will be coaching our team again this season. Parker is very much looking forward to playing. I'm so glad he found something that he likes to do. He is also excited about football...watching it, not playing it. he stayed up late to cheer on our beloved Gamecocks. He is so much fun now. He yells at the TV, albeit he doesn't usually yell the correct thing, but his spirit is there and I love it! He is starting to ask about the rules of the game and the scoring and the flags. By next season he'll be an expert and i'm thinking of taking him to Columbia for a game...a little mommy/son weekend.

So hear's to an amazing football season complete with a little healthy smack talk amongst all my SEC friends and hopefully ending with the Gamecocks at the GA Dome on December 3rd....I will be there!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Been super busy around here. Parker started Kindergarten, I started working a new schedule (Sun, Wed, Fri) and Tony started student teaching. So I'm also too busy to blog but thought I'd post some pictures of all our fun!

First Day of Kindergarten

So today was it...the FIRST day of Kindergarten. Parker was beyond excited. I woke him up at 550AM so he'd have a few minutes to wake up before he actually needed to get up. I went downstairs to make Dylan a bottle and when I started for the stairs down came Parker....RUNNING and fully dressed. "I'm ready!" he said. Geez...you think he was a bit excited?! We walked to the corner and met up with all the other kids in our neighborhood....there are ALOT of them...and we waited. the the bus pulled up and he got on and never even turned back to wave at me....my little boy is all grown up...Hope he's having an awesome day and showing the world just how amazing he is.

The 4th of July....then and now

On October 31, 2005 we found out we were having a baby. And on July 4, 2006 after working nearly all of a 12 hour shift on the 3rd and 27 hours of labor I got my sweet little Parker. Wow! Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined what that tiny little life inside me would become.

The smartest, sweetest, funniest, best big brother and coolest kid I know. He tells jokes, he gives sweet hugs and kisses and he is passionate and curious.

First he was into cars. He knew every car on the road. As we drove around town he would yell...."there's a PT Cruiser" and "there's a pick-up truck."

Then came our passion for all things firetruck and firetruck related. He knew their names....(bet you didn't know they were different...)he knew the tools, he knew the difference between an ambulance siren and a firetruck siren and even a police car siren. He pretend to play firefighter and dressed in a costume daily.

Then he turned 4 and told me he wasn't "into firetrucks anymore" but still would get excited to see one driving down the road or at the grocery store. He started watching "big boy" cartoons and movies...Star Wars, Transformers, Superman and Batman. He began to play with Legos and can easily build things with around 300 pieces. He went to Pre-K and learned to read and in just 4 weeks he will climb aboard that giant yellow school bus and go to Kindergarten.

On those sleeplessness nights I wished time would hurry up...please sleep thru the night I used to beg him. And now all I want is to put on the breaks....slow down time....enjoy every minute.
