Slacker Once Again

OK I know its been nearly 2 months since I lasted posted...but I have a very good reason.... WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!! This means that I am tired, vomiting and miserable. I hate being pregnant...I'm terrible at it....although I do have to say I created one amazing little boy...with a little help from Tony ;) and am hoping for another one just as amazing. However until he arrives I am miserable. I LOVE being a mom....but being pregnant is not for me. Parker is very excited about being a big brother and is constantly telling us all the wonderful things he is planning on teaching this little guy when he arrives. Somehow I don't think he fully understands how little and unable to do ANYTHING this baby is going to be for over a year...but he'll find out soon enough. But for now my apologies for being a slacker and some adorable birthday pictures of my Parker....who is about to be 4!!! How and when on earth did that happen?!?!?!

Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day 2010 has come to a close. Parker is in bed....pretending to sleep, lunches are packed and the laundry is done...thanks to Tony of course. It was a good day. Parker slept in....of course that didn't matter we had to be at my mom's by 9 for breakfast...but its the thought that counts. I got two hydrangeas for the yard....my only gift request was flowering plants for the yard. My mother in law got me some workout clothes....for my walking...and an awesome cooler on wheels. Parker made picture frames for the Grandmas and Bubbe and they LOVED them. Hand-painted and bejeweled...they were a sight to see....he did them all by himself and didn't do too bad if I may say so myself. I had the most amazing nap on the sofa this afternoon. Had the windows open and a little chihuahua named Charlie to cuddle with...it was almost like being at the beach. Happy Mother's Day to all.

Fun with Bubbe

This past Saturday night Parker and I slept over at my Mom and Dad's so that on Sunday they could go to Callaway Gardens and we would watch Bubbe. Bubbe has been wanting Parker to have a sleepover with her ever since she moved into Mom and Dad's....the reason you ask? Its probably a combination of the fact that her world revolves around this little boy and because when we were all younger her mother lived with her and my Gramps and I used to have sleepovers with my Mawsy. Neither of us could be left home alone....she was too fragile a diabetic and I wasn't old enough...I was probably 8 years old. We'd have sleepovers all the time. She had twin beds in her room. We would eat snacks before bed and watch TV and talk in the dark. Parker has his own room at Mom and Dad's but he stayed up late and watched TV with Bubbe and then they played together all day. Parker refused to take a nap and thus fell asleep in the car on the way home around 630....Bubbe must have been tired too when I called my Dad later that night Bubbe had gone to bed around 8pm....guess they had a good time...the first of many sleepovers to come.

Zoo Atlanta

Last week was Spring Break.....Parker's school wasn't on break but we decided to go have some fun with our friends Heather and Jackson. On Wednesday we went to the park at First Baptist Woodstock and then out for icecream...YUM-O! Then on Friday we went to the zoo. Both Jackson and Parker had a great time running around and checking out the animals.

The Car Show

Saturday night we headed downtown to the Georgia World Congress Center for the International Auto Show. This is the second or third time Parker has been. He LOVES it!!!! He has to get into every car and touch all the buttons....its like a playground for him. He stayed out really late and had the best time. Here are some of his favorites.

Marietta Fire Museum

Last Friday Triste and I took Parker and Ashley to the Marietta Fire Museum. It is just off the square in Marietta and it is the oldest working station in the city. They have 5 old firetrucks and they even still have fire poles. They show you around and tell you about the trucks, the equipment and there are lots of old pictures of historic fires in both Cobb county and the country. The best part.....its FREE!!! While we were there they got a real call and had to spring into action. It wasn't a fire so we waited for them to come back so we could play on the trucks. Parker was in awe...if he could have gone with them he would have!
